South American Gold and Copper Company Limited Announces Start of Drill Program at Meseta

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - South American Gold and Copper Company Limited ("SAGC")(TSE Symbol SAG) is pleased to announce that drilling on its Meseta copper prospect has been initiated.

As previously announced, this initial drill program at Meseta is expected to take eight weeks to complete. The Company does not currently anticipate announcing drill hole results until completion of all or a substantial part of the program and receipt of a Verification Report on the drill program results from Watts, Griffis and McOuat, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
